Personal care for a changing spine

When scoliosis raises questions, clear information and a considered plan can make the next steps easier to understand. OCHK supports adolescents and adults with detailed osteopathic assessment, hands-on treatment, and scoliosis-specific exercise. Its programme focuses on helping each person better understand and manage their spine in everyday life.

Who We Are

OCHK is a Hong Kong osteopathic centre whose scoliosis programme is led by Stephen Watts, founder and clinical director. He has combined osteopathic practice with concepts from modern PSSE to create a practical, structured approach. The team aims to provide attentive care, explain options plainly, and tailor recommendations to each individual.

What We Offer / Product Features

Depending on need, a programme may include clinical assessment, manual therapy, Schroth-based exercise, education, and a home exercise plan. The exercises are adapted to the person rather than offered as a generic routine. They may work with posture, breathing, ribcage awareness, strength, and movement in corrected positions.

Hands-on care may address mobility and areas carrying extra tension. The team can also discuss daily habits and activity, and offer monitoring or referral guidance where suitable. SpineCor soft bracing may be considered in selected cases. Osteopathic treatment alone is not described as a way to straighten a structural curve; care is focused on supporting movement, comfort, and function.

When It’s Useful

A person wants to understand their assessment and possible care options.
An adolescent needs exercise and monitoring suited to their growth stage.
An adult is looking for support with comfort, stiffness, or mobility.
Someone wants practical guidance for sport, work, sleep, or daily activity.

A patient needs help deciding whether to seek imaging, bracing advice, or specialist input.

Why Choose Us

OCHK considers more than the curve alone. The team takes into account symptoms, movement, growth stage, daily demands, and individual priorities. This allows care to be adapted over time, with realistic goals and referral guidance when another professional’s input may be appropriate.
