IFA 2026 once again proved why it remains one of the world's biggest stages for consumer technology. Much like the gadgets seen in classic sci-fi movies and TV shows, this year's lineup introduced products that blur the line between imagination and reality.
Among the biggest highlights were devices that rethink everyday technology in unexpected ways. Philips introduced the flexible Hue Liane 360° Rope Light that transforms lighting into a decorative design element, while Hypershell showcased the X Ultra S, an AI-powered consumer exoskeleton built to make hiking and outdoor adventures easier. Dyson also grabbed attention with its CameraJet toothbrush, which combines an integrated camera, AI, and liquid flossing to improve oral care. Lenovo demonstrated its innovative ThinkBook Project Swan, a concept laptop featuring a rollable OLED display that expands from 14 to 17 inches, offering users a larger workspace without sacrificing portability.
IFA 2026 also demonstrated how artificial intelligence is becoming deeply integrated into personal devices. iRobot's Roomba Duo introduced a unique cleaning system where one robot carries and deploys a smaller companion robot for hard-to-reach spaces. Plaud One transformed conversations into searchable notes, summaries, and follow-up actions using built-in AI, while RayNeo GT Max AR glasses delivered a massive virtual display for work and entertainment. RugOne's Xsnap 7 Pro added a detachable action camera to a rugged smartphone, giving users greater flexibility for capturing content on the move.
Rounding out the event were innovations focused on mobility and portable entertainment. Strutt's ev1c showcased autonomous navigation technology for personal mobility, using advanced sensors to safely guide users to their destinations. Aurzen's ZIP Pro impressed visitors with its tri-fold portable Full HD projector that delivers a large-screen viewing experience in a compact design. Together, these groundbreaking products highlighted how IFA 2026 is shaping the future of consumer technology by combining AI, mobility, portability, and practical innovation into devices that could soon become part of everyday life.
